🚫 Right to Choose Status
Pathway Paused
The Right to Choose (RTC) pathway is temporarily paused due to funding issues. Referrals sent to RTC providers are currently being held until the pathway reopens.
Future Outlook
The ICB is looking to reopen the RTC pathway from April 2026. Note: This date is not yet confirmed and should be treated as provisional.

- Inform patient of current waiting times (ADHD: 7+ years, ASD: 5 years)
- Advise that Right to Choose referrals are paused and being held
- If patient wishes to chase an existing referral:
- Provide contact number for Wigan teams
- Instruct RTC patients to contact their chosen provider directly
- Document the advice given in the medical record
