Staff must send the AccuRx message when coding T2DM or DM after speaking to the patient.
Post-Diagnosis Steps
- Discuss the diagnosis with the patient
- Send the AccuRx template named
New Diabetic DESMOND self referral - Advise the patient to book the DESMOND programme
💡 Automation
A protocol will pop up to remind you when entering a diabetes diagnosis. Using the template automatically codes the record to ensure QoF referral timelines are met.
